Presto Chango,Inc. Helpful Application Instructions for our Wall Decals

Decorating your childs room is so quick and easy using self adhesive wall stickers. Below are some simple instructions and idea's on how to apply our wall stickers.

If walls are freshly painted allow 1 to 2 weeks for the paint to cure.

Thoroughly clean walls of any dust where the Wall Decals will be applied with a dry towel or cloth.

Unroll the wall sticker product onto the floor, table or bed. Packages might get hot or cold during shipping so it might be necessary to let the wall decals / stickers get acclimated to room temperature for a few hours before application. This is because the vinyl will expand or contract during shipping and can cause the wall decals / stickers not to stick properly.

larger wall stickers 2ft or more, may require an extra set of hands.

Although all of the removable wall decal characters are individually cut out, the larger pieces are easier to apply and position if you cut them out individually with scissors.(backing and all) This way you can tape the wall stickers (with backing) to the wall to get an idea of were to place them before you remove the backing.

When peeling the sticker away from the backing, slowly peel from the largest part of the sticker first, being careful to peel "evenly" so the sticker does not form a kink in it.

The small wall stickers you simply press to the wall and rub your hand from the top of the sticker to the bottom. If you change your mind , slowly and evenly peel the sticker from the wall and reposition.

For larger wall stickers position the top part of the sticker to the wall and press slightly just enough to stick the top half to the wall. While still holding the other part of the sticker, check to see if straight and in the position you like. (this is where its nice to have some one to help) If the sticker is in the position you like rub your hand from the top of the sticker to the bottom or back , pressing with the palm of your hand hard enough where the sticker conforms to the wall. Then go over the edges pressing with your finger tips to secure any loose edges .

Although our Wall Decals / Stickers are recommended for smooth surfaces, they can be applied to textured surfaces with varying degrees of success.

Because there is less surface on texture walls for the sticker to stick to, sometimes a few edges of the wall stickers can curl up. Because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, it might be a simple matter of just pressing the edges that might have been missed during the intial application, a little harder to the wall. If they continue to curl you can apply a spray adhesive to the sticky side of the sticker. Spray into the plastic cap and use a small brush, then press and hold for a few seconds. Be careful not to get any on the print side of the wall stickers. You can find spray adhesives such as 3M's super 77 in the paint sections of your local hardware stores . There are different degrees of spray adhesive strengths so read the directions on the can carefully for compatibility to your wall surface and how to apply to the back of the wall stickers.

If you wish to store the stickers before application, just store in a cool dry place that is room temperature. We would recommend you first test a few of the smaller wall stickers to see if they will stick to your wall surface before storage.

Please don't apply wall stickers within reach of a small child or near their bed or crib as they may be a choking hazard.
